The VUZ is an Certification Body for product certification No. 3149 eligible to operate the system of product certification particularly the railway vehicles and their components, railways and components of rail tracks in terms of the Act No. 266/1994 Coll., on railways, as amended by later regulations and relevant executive directives.

Scope of accreditation
- Sub-systems of the European railway system in the field of infrastructure, energy, control comand and signalling and railway vehicles
- Railway vehicles and their components
- Railway signalling and communication equipment
- Sleepers and aggregates (shingles, gravel sand, crushed and refracted stone)
- Welding processes during the production and repair of engineering constructions
The VUZ as a product certification organ is eligible to perform certification as an accredited activity within the scope specified in Annex to the Certicate of Accreditation based on the producers enquiry or the enquiry of importer or other person. The product certification organ (COV) updates permanently and amend the established quality.
Based on the client request the product certification organ also provides other services beyond the frame of accreditation.
