Book services
Technical library of the VUZ, a.s. acquires, stores, files and makes available the following collections:
- library collection - contains to 31st December 2008 5 280 books,
- collection of service aids (publications of a short term importance) - timetables and their modifications, the ÚZ publications (full readings of the laws), financial regulations,
- Czech magazines - professional railway magazines and the magazines related to the VUZ operation (law, economics, transport in general),
- foreign magazines - for 2009 twelve magazine titles exclusively with railway theme was ordered,
- ČSN standards - the contract with ÚNMZ about the on-line access to all standards was concluded for 2009, the access with the possibility of printing the standards was chosen for the library,
- TŽN standards - the library has got access to the web pages of České dráhy, a.s. (Czech Railways) NORMIS with the possibility of printing the standards,
- regulations of České dráhy, a.s. (Czech Railways) and SŽDC, s.o. - the library has got an access to the web pages of České dráhy, a.s. (Czech Railways) NORMIS with the possibility of printing the regulations,
- UIC by-laws - are arriving continuously according to the distribution list of the International Department of ČD GŘ (Czech Railways General Directorate), borrowing only after the agreement in presence in the study room,
- Technical reports ORE/ERRI - the collection is closed, contains 2 000 titles, borrowing only after agreement in the study room.
