Designated legal person
VUZ is a legal person designated by the Ministry of Transport to perform tests of railway vehicles:

to perform tests of railway motor, towed and special vehicles operating in the state and regional railways and tap lines according to § 43, Art. 4 of the Act No. 266/1994 Coll., and to perform tests of railway vehicles of the special railway according § 43b, Art. 3 of the Act No. 266/1994 Coll., on railways, within the scope given by the valid authorization issued by the Ministry of Tranpsort of Czech Republic.

VUZ is a designated legal person by the Railway Infrastructure Administration, state organization:
- as an evaluater for safety declared in terms of RIA instruction No. 34 - Instruction for placing into service components which are a part of telecommunication and signalling eguipment and electrotechnical and power supply equipment at railway infrastructure owned by the state

VUZ is a designated legal person by the Transport, Posts and Telecommunication of the Slovak Republic:
- to perform tests of railway motor, towed and special vehicles operating in the state and regional railways and tap lines according to § 102, Art. 1 of the Act No. 513/2009 Coll., on railways, within the scope given by the valid authorization

VUZ is recognized as body for the Safety Assessment of Rail Authority:
-
as external assessor of safety for structural subsystems of the railway system - Infrastructure
- Energy - Rolling stock
- Control Comand and Signalling
as defined in Commission Regulation (EC) No 352/2009 on the adoption of a common safety method on risk evaluation and assessment, as described in European Parliament and Council Directive 2004/49/EC on railway safety

VUZ is a member of EUROLAB
- VUZ became a member of the Czech Association of measuring, testing and analytical laboratories EUROLAB-CZ. EUROLAB-EN is an active member of the International Association EUROLAB - www.eurolab.org
