VUZ Test Centre Velim proudly presents two new stabling tracks that will be used for rail technology under test. Two new 260-metre-long non-wired tracks have been built in the area on the right side of the entrance gate: just where one of the tracks runs from the test track towards the Dynamic Test Laboratory building. Near the main entrance, next to the crossing, a branching has been created using existing, renovated switches and tracks. VUZ started to plan the construction in autumn. The first trains should run on the new track in June when a 6-month test operation period will start. The new tracks will increase the rolling stock parking capacity and decrease the need for shunting of vehicles parked on the existing tracks.
