VUZ is a member of several associations related to the railway industry. It also represents the parent company České dráhy, a.s. in expert meetings in the International Union or Railways (UIC), the Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies (CER) and the International Organization for Cooperation between Railways (OSJD).
Association of the Czech Railway Industry (ACRI)
The ACRI is an organization associating railway industry companies in the Czech Republic and is an associate member of the European Rail Supply Industry Association (UNIFE). It represents the interests of its members and the interests of the railway industry, especially in relation to the Czech institutions and, through UNIFE, to the European institutions. The members f the ACRI are companies engaged in the development, design, manufacture and repair of rolling stock, railway superstructure, infrastructure, information technology equipment, railway components, materials and service provision.
Association of Accredited and Authorized Organizations (AAAO)
The AAAO is an association of legal entities providing services in the field of testing, certification, inspection and assessment of products, management systems, persons and processes. The members of the AAAO operate primarily in the regulated area in relation to the CE marking (both as authorized bodies and notified bodies with competence in the EU), but also as accredited authorities in the unregulated area of product and service quality.
Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic (HK ČR)
The Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic represents the business public on the basis of Act No. 301/1992 Coll. on the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and the Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic. The Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic supports all business fields, except for agriculture, food and forestry (this activity is performed by the Agrarian Chamber of the Czech Republic). The Economic Chamber creates opportunities for business, promotes and supports measures that contribute to the development of business in the Czech Republic and thus to the overall economic stability of the country.
National Technology Platform “Railway Infrastructure Interoperability” (SIZI)
The SIZI is an interest association of sixteen business entities, universities, research and project organizations in the railway construction sector, which are involved in investment construction and maintenance of the railway infrastructure in the Czech Republic, in the fields of infrastructure, energy, management and security. Its aim is to combine the scientific and technical potential of universities, research and design institutes together with the production potential of construction and manufacturing companies to support members in innovations and increase of competitiveness, to implement research and development and testing projects ensuring their current production with a focus on the application of railway interoperability requirements, raising funds for the implementation of these projects, including the involvement of members in European activities in this field.
European Rail Research Network of Excellence (EURNEX)
The EURNEX is a research project focusing on railway and combined transport. It is involved in research of the railway operation, railway transport, railway vehicles, communication and signalling technology, testing, transport technology, quality, environment and many other areas. The goal of the project is to unify the Europe-wide research and development in the field of railway transport and to create the Network of Excellence bringing together workplaces offering both research and production capacities for the implementation of railway transport projects of companies and state institutions. The EURNEX project is part of the Sixth EU Framework Program. It brings together more than 60 European institutions and has a team of 670 people.
NB-Rail Coordination Group
The Notified Bodies Coordination Group of the EU railway system, NB-Rail, was established in terms of Directive 2008/57/EC, Article 28(5), Decision 768/2008/EC, Articles R17(11) and R30 and the Blue Guide 2014 document (5.2.2 and 5.2.4).
The NB-Rail is an international non-profit organization of notified bodies aimed to support and to complement the work of the NB-RAIL coordination group in the field of interoperability of the EU railway system. The NB-Rail Association also cooperates actively with UNIFE, CER, UIC, CEN, and CENELEC as well as with ERA and the European Commission.
Participation in ÚNMZ - VUZ is a member of Technical Standardization Committees - TNK 126 (Electrical Engineering in Transport) and TNK 141 (Railways) - (TNK establishes ÚNMZ as an advisory body for technical standardization in the given field).
International Union of Railways (UIC)
The International Union of Railways is a global organization for international cooperation between railways and for the promotion of railway transport in general. It was established in 1922, it is based in Paris and has a total of 171 members from five continents.

Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies (CER)
The Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies is based in Brussels and it defends the interests of railway transporters vis-à-vis the European Union institutions. It brings together 54 railway transporters and infrastructure companies. The main areas of interest of the CER include promotion of the development of railways as a sustainable, efficient and environmentally friendly transport system.

Výzkumný Ústav Železniční, a.s. is a member of the Association of Czech Measuring, Testing and Analytical Laboratories EUROLAB-CZ. EUROLAB-CZ is an active member of the international association EUROLAB. Download membership certificate
