This set of tests includes measurement of heating, cooling (air conditioning), air flow, air volume, and determination of heat transfer coefficient k. These tests aim to verify the properties of air conditioning or heating units, the ability to cool or heat the vehicle interior even under challenging outdoor weather conditions, thus ensuring thermal comfort for both passengers and train staff.
