VUZ is an „Authorized Legal Person” with competence in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. We assess newly manufactured or modernized vehicles and substantial change thereto, including vehicles approved for use in other EU Member States.

Such assessment is carried out according to the national legislation of the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. The legal person’s statements serve for the purpose of DeBo assessment, or the needs of the respective railway authorities: the Rail Authority of the Czech Republic and the Rail Authority of the Slovak Republic, as the final source document for approval of a vehicle or a substantial change to a vehicle for the purpose of operation in those countries.
