VUZ, a.s has finished first step to mitigate its environmental footprint and has completed its first ever carbon footprint calculation. Carbon footprint defines the amount of all greenhouse gases which were released in connection with the company ’s activities. Carbon footprint is an indicator of environmental burden derived from the overall environmental imprint. 

Scope 1  – direct emissions are 8,9%, Scope 2 indirect emissions (such as emissions arising from outsourced supplies of electricity, gas etc) 15,1% and Scope 3 other indirect emissions (others than Scope 2) are 76%. 

Carbon footprint has been calculated in accordance ISO 14064 and GHG protocols and principles.
