Railway vehicle testing

The VUZ testing laboratory (TL) is one of the most modern and sought-after laboratories in the field of rolling stock testing and research, while taking pride in its long tradition. VUZ TL has been accredited by the Czech Institute for Accreditation since March 31, 1995 according to ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025.

The satisfied and regular customers of our laboratory include the world's largest rolling stock manufacturers, such as Alstom, Siemens, Škoda Transportation, CRRC, PESA, Stadler and others.

Most of the offered tests can be carried out not only in the VUZ Test Centre Velim, where the conditions are optimal for the implementation, but also on the Czech mainlines. VUZ has experience in testing vehicles with various types of drives, including alternative ones, for example hydrogen drive and batteries.

Within its quality management system, the VUZ testing laboratory has been continuously developing and updating its testing procedures to keep them in line with the strict requirements of the international, European and national standards and interoperability standards.
